RETAINED SEARCH, EXCLUSIVE CONTINGENCY SEARCH, and NON-EXCLUSIVE CONTINGENCY SEARCH:

The principle difference between these three types of search processes is priority.   We realize that when you utilize our services exclusively for a particular search that you are counting on us to deliver the best candidates in the shortest period of time.   It makes good business sense for us to devote the majority of our time to Retained Searches because there is a guaranteed payback once we successfully identify "all star" candidates who meet or exceed the requirements of the position.


*Note:   Our definition of "exclusive contingency" means other search firms will not be involved in the search.   This arrangement does not prevent your company from utilizing other forms of recruitment (i.e. ads, job boards, etc.)

*Note:   The exclusivity time period is normally 45 to 60 days.

SOURCES WE USE TO IDENTIFY THE BEST CANDIDATES:
THE SEARCH PROCESS:
A typical search conducted by S L Collins Associates, Inc. will be approached in the following manner (although these steps may vary depending on the desires of each client company):

  1. Gathering information from company personnel which will help us better understand the organization's goals, culture, expectations, position requirements, compensation package, etc.
  2. Developing a profile of the ideal candidate including but not limited to: education, type and years of experience, personality, management style, decision making ability, compensation, employment history and accomplishments;
  3. Sourcing potential candidates;
  4. Conducting telephone interviews and reference checks;
  5. Presenting resumes, background information, and reference check information to the client company;
  6. Arranging in-person and/or telephone interviews with candidates selected by the client company
  7. Being actively involved in the offer presentation to the selected candidate including any necessary negotiations;
  8. Following up with the selected candidate several times during the initial year of employment.

Geographic Locations:  
We do not concentrate on any one geographical area. Our search assignments are conducted for pharmaceutical clients throughout the United States.   Some of the positions we recruit for require global expertise.

Fees:  
Our fee is based on a percentage of the candidate’s annual compensation.   Please contact us, and we will be happy to provide sample fee agreements.
