Seeking expertise in two primary areas:    
  1. Antibody Characterization (important)
  2. CAR-T cell Engineering (not as important)


Our client is a therapeutic biotech company focused on gene editing and genetic engineering of immune cells for cancer immunotherapy. We are seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist to focus on immune cell/antibody engineering and functional characterization through a variety of immunological assays.



  • Design and construct lentiviral or retroviral vectors to express CAR and therapeutic antibodies.

  • Perform and optimize lentiviral transduction into primary human T cells.

  • Characterize phenotypes and functions of engineered T cells such as antibody secretion, cytokine release, degranulation, and cytotoxicity, etc.

  • Develop assays to detect therapeutic antibodies, binding affinities, neutralization or functional blocking activities.

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to support the development of engineered immune cell therapeutic platforms.



  • Ph.D. degree in biology, immunology, or a related discipline.

  • Extensive experience in cell engineering, cancer immunotherapy, antibody expression, and functional characterization.

  • Expertise in primary immune cell culture and functional assays.

  • Experience with molecular cloning, immunoassay development, flow cytometry analysis and Western blot analysis.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in this collaborative work environment.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment.
