POSITION SUMMARY

Our client company is a biotechnology organization focused on gene editing and genetic engineering of primary human T cells for cancer immunotherapy.  This Research Scientist will focus on CAR-T cell engineering, expansion, and production in support of animal studies.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Engineer primary human T cells using synthetic biology approaches.

  • Scale up engineered CAR-T cell production for animal studies.

  • Characterize phenotypes and functions of genetically engineered T cells such as cytokine release, degranulation and cytotoxicity, etc.

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to support the development of genetically engineered T cell therapeutic platforms.

 

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in biology, immunology or a related discipline with 3-5 years industry related experience.

  • Experience with CAR-T cell engineering, expansion and production.

  • Expertise in primary human T cell culture and lentivirus transduction.

  • Experience with multicolor flow cytometry analysis, cell sorting, ELISA, qPCR and Western blot analysis.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in this collaborative work environment.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment.
