Our client company is a biotechnology organization focused on gene editing and genetic engineering of primary human T cells for cancer immunotherapy. This Research Scientist will focus on CAR-T cell engineering, expansion, and production in support of animal studies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Engineer primary human T cells using synthetic biology approaches.
Scale up engineered CAR-T cell production for animal studies.
Characterize phenotypes and functions of genetically engineered T cells such as cytokine release, degranulation and cytotoxicity, etc.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to support the development of genetically engineered T cell therapeutic platforms.
Ph.D. degree in biology, immunology or a related discipline with 3-5 years industry related experience.
Experience with CAR-T cell engineering, expansion and production.
Expertise in primary human T cell culture and lentivirus transduction.
Experience with multicolor flow cytometry analysis, cell sorting, ELISA, qPCR and Western blot analysis.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in this collaborative work environment.
Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment.
