 Our client company is a biotechnology organization focused on gene editing and genetic engineering of primary human T cells for cancer immunotherapy.   This Research Scientist will be part of our client’s preclinical team and will design and execute in vivo preclinical studies to characterize functions and antitumor activities of genetically engineered human T-cells.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Evaluate antitumor efficacy of engineered human CAR-T cells in different human tumor xenograft models.

  • Conduct pharmacokinetics of engineered CAR-T cells in tumor xenograft mouse models.

  • Identify and validate pharmacodynamic biomarkers to support preclinical and clinical development.

  • Culture tumor cell lines, and generate tumor cell lines stably expressing firefly luciferase or other proteins for animal studies.

  • Manage external research collaborations with CRO companies, service providers and academic institutions.

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to support the development of genetically engineered T cell therapeutic platforms.



  • Ph.D. with 3-5 years of industrial experience in cancer immunotherapy and in-vivo pharmacology, preferably in the area of T cell therapy.

  • Strong hands-on experience with murine in vivo tumor models including study design, animals monitoring, dosing protocols, tumor measurements, IVIS imaging, blood and tissue collection.

  • Experience with multicolor flow cytometry analysis, T cell phenotyping and functional assays, and immunological assays is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in this collaborative work environment.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
